Scalar and Vector

Resolution of Vector:

 It is an inverse process of finding the magnitude of two or more than two vectors.

Suppose a vector “OP” Resolve into component “OA” and “OB”.  Shown in fig. below

                                        

Where  a and b is the component of vector r in their respective direction.

Draw vector OP resolve vector OB and OA as in fig. draw perpendicular from head of vector OP  on Vector 
OA & OB. Put value you get Formula .

Rectangular Component:
                        When we resolve a vector into two mutually perpendicular directions is called Rectangular Component.
